IWJF:Baghdad 

The IWJF and Integrity Commission held a training workshop on monitoring and documentation in Baghdad in 2 October, with the participation of 29 male and female journalists and activists from various governorates of Iraq.

The activity was opened by the Director of Integrity Relationships ,about the importance of this type of exercises ,In developing the capacities of civil society organizations, He also thanked the iwjf and the  alternatives ,  On their role in cooperation with the Integrity Commission.

As for Dr nibras almaamori head iwjf  ,She explained to the workshop participants that this activity is the second of its kind,  And a month ago, 15 have been trained journalist and activist in Arbil, from all the cities of Iraq.

  Al-Maamori confirmed:  Workshops and other activities in cooperation with the Organization alternatives,It will lead to the formation of a regional network for women journalists and activists,We will do our best to keep working and develop.

The workshop included provided by the trained Lamia al-Amiri: monitoring and documentation, the way of writing reports and practical training on the skills and mechanisms of documentation, monitoring, and how to provide greater protection and confidentiality of files.

The activity was concluded by practical training for all training materials and ways of using search engines such as Google and Google maps as well as verifying images and their quality.

The activity was held under the “The Protection and Security of Women Journalists and Human Rights Defenders” project, with the support of the Canadian organization alternatives
