IWJF: Erbil
The Iraqi women journalists Forum organized in cooperation with Alternatives organization two training workshops in Erbil for the period 11-13 July on the development of innovative techniques for training on media literacy and with the participation of more than 30 journalists and activists in civil society from different governorates of Iraq.
The workshop, which was attended by trainers Anne Salah and Entikhab Al-Qaisi, included the ethics and principles of press and media work, the role of journalists in protecting human rights and the concept of media literacy.
The training also included the skills of effective communication and the most important tools of social networking sites and how to invest mobile technology in the press as well as how to distinguish between the journalist and the journalist activist and the tools of verification by them.
The workshop ended with the distribution of certificates of participation to the trainees by the head of the Media Forum, Dr. Nibras Al Mamory
