Armenia: IWJF
The Officer-in-Charge of the Embassy of Iraq in Armenia, Dr. Alia Al-Zubaidi, received in her official office the President of the IWJF, Dr. Nbras Al-Mamory. The two sides discussed the most important contents of the International Conference of Women Journalists during the war and peace held in Armenia, and the most important recommendations that came out in support of the role of women in general and the women journalists in particular.
For her part, Dr. Alia Al-Zubaidi expressed her happiness with the participation of IWJF in the international conference, especially that the Iraqi women who work in media field had a special role during the liberation of Mosul, stressing the need to continue working to serve women’s issues and raise their importance.
During the meeting, Dr. Nbras Al-Mamory explained that her participation in the conference had a great impact on the participants from all countries of the world and that the IWJF will continue to work for the benefit of women journalists, stressing that such specialized conferences enhance bilateral relations and joint cooperation, especially that the organizer of the activity Ms. Gulnara Shahinian, head of a “Democratic Today” organization, expressed her willingness to cooperate and work with IWJF, especially with regard to empowerment of women.
